Roller Shutters provide a robust form of security for security both windows and doors. They can be fitted either internally or externally depending upon the clients preferences.
A benefit of the Manual shutter is that it is more affordable and doesn’t need wiring of a nearby spur by an electrician if one isn’t already available. For small windows and doors they are ideal for fitting as a cost effective form of security. For larger entrances such as loading bays you’ll need a chain operated shutter to be able to open and close.
With electric shutters comes easy of use, they can be simply operated by a fob or key. If you have a number of shutters across windows it can be far more convenient as for instance you can open them all together with a push of the button rather have to go to each one.

January last year we were invited by ADI to quote for the supply and installation of Steel Security Flood Doors to the Cadbury Factory in Bournville. Having been installing steel doors at the site over the past decade we have built up a very good working relationship with both ADI and Cadbury.
Due to the nature of the site it understandably involves a great emphasis on health and safety. We visited site to discuss the steel doors which they wanted replacing and advised on what needed to be installed. The flood plan was put together as part of a 100 year vision to ensure the safety and future of the historic factory.
In total the project involved the supply and installation of 5 steel doors. There was also a flood barrier which needs to be installed which should be completed in the next couple of weeks.
As part of a 100 year plan to protect the Cadbury factory in Bournville against potential flooding we have been installing flood protective steel security doors.

In addition to our standard anti saw burglar bars we now can supply & install bars certified to LPS 1175 SR2 & SR3.
These have been designed specifically for high risk targets to act as both a visual deterrent and physical barrier to forced entry. Unlike grilles bars are fixed shut so you don’t have to worry about staff forgetting to shut them when they leave the building. Another advantage of this is that they require very little maintenance in comparison to grilles with an occasional clean sufficing.
Unlike our standard bars these can also be fitted externally if preferred with galvanising. Although we do advise that for enhancing their effectiveness that they’re fitted on the inside. Due to a burglar having to smash glass before attacking the bars themselves and likely triggering an alarm.
Many of our customers prefer to have their doors on a supply basis in which case we’d encourage you to take a look at our short video with a measuring and installation guide.
For supply only orders we’ll get you to sign off a drawing confirmation which will have exact details of your door to ensure there are no mistakes. After you’ve approved the drawing and the orders been processed we’ll then send a delivery date informing you of an exact delivery date.
Please take a look at our instructive video below for your steel door.
Over the past six months there has been a worrying increasing trend of sheds getting broken into across the West Midlands. The West Midland Police are urging households to be vigilant of this activity and advising to secure sheds with security where possible.
This can be anything from installing alarms to physical security such as steel doors or security grilles. We do often install Multi Locking Doors to sheds which are ideal for this very purpose. Furthermore grilles or bars can be placed across windows to prevent easy access.
Due to sheds being situated in isolated locations in gardens normally they can be easy targets for a burglar. With tradesmen often leaving tools in their shed or valuable gardening equipment.
Before Christmas we were called out to a site in Solihull which had a timber door that needed replacing. As the client was keen on a product which would be a long term investment we recommended our Magnelis manufactured doors which come supplied with long life warranties (10 years Anti corrosion, 5 year paint and hardware to be exact).
Magnelis is a relatively new option which we’re offering to customers if they want the extra corrosion protection etc. The process is similar to that of galvanising however uses a special composition of chemicals. This makes it ten times better than the galvanised method.
