Security Care have been supplying and installing security doors in Birmingham for over 17 years. Our wide range of steel/ aluminium doors offers the ultimate in door security in the Midlands.
A key advantage of steel doors over more traditional wooden doors is that they will not splinter when attacked with a crowbar or hammer. This will compromise the strength of the structure and make it much easier for a criminal to gain access. Another practical advantage of steel doors is that they are relatively low maintenance and inexpensive when compared to solid wooden doors.
We can both supply and install steel doors in Birmingham as well as other door and window security equipment. Before any installation our Installation Manager will visit the site so that we take responsibility for measurements and he will advise on the best security solution for you. This will be the same installer who will carry out the job so that each job we carry out is as personalised as possible for each individual customer.

In November this year the West Midlands first ever Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) will be elected. This the government believes will empower the voter and make the police authorities more visible to the general public.
The Birmingham Chamber of Commerce has urged candidates to make to make tackling crimes against businesses a top priority. During an event organised by the chamber on the 25th September candidates were pressed on their policies.
During the event it was found that nearly 31% of businesses in attendance had been directly victims of crime. As well as 77% claiming that the level of crime would dictate whether or not they’d locate to a particular area. In order to attract business it is essential that protecting business is made a priority if Birmingham is to flourish in the future.
Business crime in the West Midlands is estimated to cost the region £26,000 each hour according to the Katie Teasdale: Chamber director of Policy and Strategic relations. Despite this though not enough focus is given to the on-going problem.
Importantly however we cannot levy total responsibility upon the Police. Window and door security in Birmingham must be made a priority by businesses themselves in order to help alleviate the problem. As accredited installers in Birmingham of Window and Door security as well as holders of a ‘Secured by Design Licence’ we can help tackle your crime problem.
If you are based in the West Midlands, Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton as well as outlying areas and require Window or Door security for your business please contact us on 0121 445 2587 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Security Care Ltd have been operating and installing security equipment all across the West Midlands since 1995. With nearly 20 years’ experience in window and door security the company has built a reputation as a leading installer of Window and Door Security across the West Midlands.
Having installed Window Security for Hillcrest School in Dudley in the distant past they once again earlier this year came back to Security Care Ltd asking for further window and door security to be fitted to their School after being impressed with our previous work carried out there.
After visiting the site our experienced surveyor carried out an assessment of the school and the particular regions specifically which needed to be made secure. The best option was to have tested retractable Goliath SG2 Security Grilles fitted so that the contents of the building would be protected at night but could also be stacked to the side in the day so that the room would still be a desirable working environment.
Further to this we were also informed of a building company which had installed security grilles to the school quite recently whilst carrying out another job. These grilles had subsequently been fitted poorly without the correct fixings and clearly without much knowledge of security grilles at all. consequently these had to be refitted by us to get them in working order.

One of the most effective ways to protect any commercial or public building against the threat of a fire is to have installed a Fire Rated Door. These are typically fitted internally within the building so that a fire can be contained as best as possible therefore allowing employees to escape and giving emergency services the best opportunity to tackle a blaze before it gets out of control.

Crime rates in the West Midlands fell during the first six months of 2012 despite a cut in the areas police force. Surprisingly this means that robbery rates are now at their lowest level for nearly a decade.
A major factor in this has been companies taking responsibility for protecting their businesses against criminals. Across Coventry, Birmingham, Nuneaton and surrounding areas we have been carrying out installations for window and door security. With many companies and homes installing physical security it is becoming ever more difficult for crooks to gain entry.
In the past we have perhaps relied upon the presence of police to deter criminals and put too much pressure on police to tackle crime themselves rather than doing are bit to resist it. Today businesses see the need more and more to protect their assets by having roller shutters, security doors and grilles fitted.
Security Care Ltd is a Secured by Design installer of security equipment. This is a police led initiative to ensure that consumers can be confident of receiving a quality and professional service. To gain this accreditation costs money however it ensures that consumers do not get misled by a ‘cowboy builder’ but get expert advice by a trade specialist.
We install across the West Midlands including, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Kidderminster, Stratford, Worcester, Redditch and Cheltenham. For any information or a direct quote please get in touch on 0121 445 2587 or email us at email@example.com.
Unemployment in the West Midlands has risen to 235,000 which accounts for approximately 8.8 per cent of the areas total workforce according to recent government figures. This has bucked the wider national trend of falling unemployment signifying that the region continues to seriously suffer.
Generally a rise in unemployment will coincide with an increase in criminal activity as people are driven to desperate measures in difficult times. Therefore the risk of businesses being targeted by thieves and disgruntled vandals will increase. Importantly now is the time to act by carrying out a risk assessment of your property or business.
In many situations the best form of defence against criminals will be to install physical security to the windows and doors particularly for businesses which are at a high risk of being targeted i.e. electronic stores and offices. By doing this you will prevent easy entry into your property as offenders will attack the points of access.
We have many options available for the various situations which we can offer. This includes various security doors, grilles, anti-vandal screens and roller shutters which we can fit to your property. Before any installation our experienced surveyor will come to measure any openings and offer his own advice into what level of security is required.
For any further information or quotation please contact us directly on 0121 445 2587 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note we only install across the West Midlands Region.
Fire Rated doors are one of the most effective ways of protecting your staff as it will dramatically reduce the risk of a possible fire spreading than that of a conventional timber door. We carry out installations all over the West Midlands and would advise having a fire rated door fitted by our fitting team. After over 15 years specialising in installations you can be confident of a professional and excellent service.

Crime figures show that criminal activity increases during the summer months especially with regards to opportunistic burglary. During this time we understandably in certain case tend to relax our usual security precautions, understandably in many cases due to warm weather. For example we’ll leave windows and doors open to let the air in which can give a criminal the chance they need to make a swift ‘snatch and grab’ robbery.
Another factor in these summer months is with many families going away on their holidays leaving observant burglars with unoccupied targets. Even with a family in the garden enjoying the weather, a bold burglar can often gain access through an open front door and take a few small valuable items such as I-pads, mobile phones or laptops. The following precautions can help defend against such threats:-
If in rear garden keep the front door and windows closed.
Place small valuable items which can be easily taken concealed so that any would be thieves are not enticed to target your property.
Keep any personal tools which could be used to gain access stashed away from the front of your house as no burglar wants to be caught by police with these on them.
A radio playing near the front will deter a burglar as they believe that there is activity in the front of the house.
Finally installing security grilles or a security door will both deter and help prevent a burglar from forcing entry into your home.
It is important to keep our guard up during the summer weeks as we can easily become complacent during this time. Remember that the best way to tackle burglary is by not advertising it to potential wrong doers.
